This page gives you an idea of the quality and number of fantastic musicians that our region has produced. The exhibit titled "MUSIC of the ST. CROIX VALLEY 1912-1978" drew a record number of attendees. Many are longtime friends of Tom who also attended the opening reception. Local news media covered the event and did on-the-spot interviews with several honorees. The response was highly positive that night as well as throughout the next four weeks the show was on public exhibit. According to the guest book signatures and comments, many people traveled from the far reaches of the country as well as Canada to see the show. Spontaneous songs occurred as some former musicians, their families and friends walked through the exhibit. Many of the show's original pieces have now been sold, however, prints are available for most pieces. A follow-up exhibit covering stand-out musicians since 1978 is under consideration for a future show.
